AB15000 dust scrubber
The Grydale AB15000 is a complete dust collection system featuring an air intake, filter house, clean air box, silencer, exhaust, centrifugal exhaust fan and dust discharge system mounted on a drag skid base to create 15,000 CFM of air flow. The compact integrated system provides significant space saving advantages on construction sites where space is limited.
Filter housing and fan
The AB15000 is a complete dust collection system, manufactured on a single skid. This means there is no site assembly required.
Fabrication
The AB15000 dust scrubber is constructed using local mild steel – compressed for tensile strength and features two-pack paint which is rust proof for a period of five years (subject to operating conditions).
Mobility
The unit will be stationed on a drag skid configuration. Drag-skid-mounted dust scrubbers can be easily moved with a crane using the four lifting lugs or dragged into position using the rigging mounts at the end of the machine. Units mounted on drag skids are perfect when dust collection needs are relatively static or there are cost constraints.
Power supply - 415V
The AB15000 dust scrubber will require a main feed in of 415V power via customers supplied generator.
Variable speed drive
The AB15000 has dynamic variable air flow control that improves the efficiency of units to only use power to achieve the required air volume. An air flow meter monitors the air flow from the exhaust, to dynamically deliver the required air volume.
Air intakes
The AB15000 is manufactured with a single 649mm air intake as standard, to allow extraction from a single source.
Filters
The AB15000 dust scrubber system includes 16 x Grydale High Efficiency Filter Cartridges that provide a filtration efficiency of 99.999% at 0.067 micron and provide filtration of both dust and diesel particulates.
Filters can be easily accessed via any of the 2 filter access doors, allowing efficient filter maintenance and maximising machine uptime.
Baffle plates distribute air throughout the dust scrubber system ensuring an even wear of filters.
Reverse Pulse Cleaning System
The AB15000 dust scrubber is fitted with an onboard air compressor and receiver tank which feed the pneumatic system to provide reverse pulse filter cleaning. Jet tubes blast air from the inside of each filter, effectively removing dust build up and prevents dust from clogging.
The reverse pulse cleaning system is controlled by a timer which sends a pulse of air every 30 seconds through each jet tube. Between each pulse the system will recharge to 100psi ready for the next jet tube to be actuated. Pressure and frequency of pulse cleaning can be adjusted as required, reducing the number of filter changes required.
Centrifugal fan
The AB15000 dust scrubbers features a 37kW centrifugal fan, capable of pulling 15,000 CFM of air @ -2.5kPa using only one motor and one impeller to develop system pressure.
Fan silencer
The fan exhausts through a silencer to reduce noise pollution. Grydale also supply at no additional charge a square to round attachment allowing a vent bag to be attached to the exhaust side.
Dust discharge system
The AB15000 features a single auger discharge system which is operational when the fan is operational. The electric motor is used to power the auger and stainless-steel rotary valve to discharge material through the auger and discharge material via the stainless-steel rotary valve into 1T bulker bags for easy disposal.
The AB15000 has a conveying auger, incline auger and stainless rotary valve which dust can be discharged to a bulker bag.
The augers and rotary valves are driven by electric motor and gearbox.
Fan and differential pressure gauges
The static pressure monitor alerts the operator if it is necessary to turn the system volume up due to a long duct run or if there is a blockage in the ducting.
The differential pressure monitor alerts the operator if filters are blocked or if there are higher than normal dust loads.
The maximum pressure drop within the filter house is 2500 pa.
Greasing system
Grease banks are fitted as standard to all units.
Safety features
The AB15000 has a number of safety features that focus on maximising the health and safety of workers along with providing a safe working environment by controlling dust and fumes.
Key safety features include:
Emergency stop
An emergency stop button is located on the unit which will immediately halt the fan and auger power.
Operation and maintenance lights
Operational and maintenance lights have been fitted in key locations on the unit giving operators and maintenance workers clear visibility of components and / or to illuminate working spaces.
